Adey Electronics Exhibits at the 2025 JCT Traffic Signal Symposium and Exhibition
We recently attended the 2025 JCT Traffic Signal Symposium and Exhibition, engaging with professionals from across the UK traffic management community. Representatives from local authorities, private integrators, consultants, and signal specialists visited the stand throughout the event to discuss current challenges and emerging technologies that are shaping the future of intelligent traffic control.
Showcasing Next-Generation Traffic Connectivity Solutions
During the exhibition, the team showcased a range of advanced connectivity solutions designed for modern traffic infrastructure. On display were robust 4G and 5G industrial routers, with a particular highlight being the new Advantech ICR-2452 5G RedCap (Reduced Capability) router. RedCap delivers strong 5G performance while using less power and costing less than full 5G, making it a great fit for roadside traffic equipment. On the stand, we explained how it improves reliability and latency, supports long-term network evolution, and makes it easier to connect intersections, monitor remotely, and roll out at scale.
We also showed our high-performance antennas, LoRaWAN gateways, and a selection of smart sensors built for remote traffic signal monitoring and field deployment. All of these solutions are aimed at keeping roadside assets connected, secure, and easy to manage, helping to reduce downtime, speed up maintenance, and enable real-time data sharing across traffic networks.
The exhibition was a valuable chance to discuss the shift toward digital traffic control, including the growing need for resilient cellular connections, hybrid networks, and low-power IoT devices. It also allowed the team to share product capabilities, explore partnerships, and gather feedback from professionals on real-world challenges and future priorities.
Adey Electronics looks forward to continuing its work with industry partners and supporting the rollout of connected, smart traffic systems across the UK.
