The Kerlink Wirnet iStation M2 is Kerlink’s new outdoor LoRaWAN gateway, designed for reliable industrial IoT connectivity in demanding environments. It builds on the original iStation model with a stronger focus on efficiency, performance, and flexible deployment.

Compared to the first iStation, the new M2 model introduces improved LoRa radio performance with the Semtech SX1302 core, better processing power due to a 64-bit i.MX8 CPU, and more flexible backhaul options that include Ethernet, 4G/5G, and WiFi. It's also designed for easier installation and remote management, making it more suitable for large-scale or distributed IoT networks.

One of the big improvements that we like, is its low power design. The M2 is significantly more energy efficient than the previous model (the M2 uses less than 1.8 W under typical operating conditions) and is fully compatible with Kerlink’s new solar power kits. This makes it ideal for off-grid or remote deployments where running mains power is not practical, such as water metering sites, agriculture, off-shore deployments, or environmental monitoring.

The gateway is built for harsh outdoor conditions with an IP67-rated enclosure and supports secure, carrier-grade operation for long-term industrial use.
